Today you no longer see the same quality as 30 or 40 years ago.
On Saturdays, the young Bart Vink worked in his father’s music shop. The money he earned there was immediately spent on quality speakers and a nice power amp, which he used to play his records and cassette tapes. He later joined the shop with his brother and, in addition to Bang & Olufsen, concentrated mainly on other high-quality Hi-Fi brands such as Denon, Onkyo, Marantz, Thorens, Dual, and many more. This provided Bart with vast experience in the Hi-Fi world and allowed him to build a large network, from which he is still reaping the benefits.
According to Bart, Hi-Fis from the 70s, 80s and 90s still deliver superior quality and guarantee many hours of listening pleasure. Although Bart would like to come across more Bang & Olufsen, he is always happy to see a nice Sansui amplifier, a Thorens turntable or tape decks by Revox or Akai. He takes particular care that his auctions are all about quality. That’s what he expects from his suppliers, with whom he maintains strong ties. Bart supplies a varied selection every week, for the serious collector and the Hi-Fi hobbyist.
