Most militaria objects are pieces with a rich history.
Alexander Fedotov grew up with militaria, which is not surprising when you grow up in Volgograd, the former Stalingrad. The entire city is characterised by the large battle that was fought here during the Second World War and the courageous soldiers that effectuated a turning point in the war. When Alexander Fedotov found a German helmet and took it home, he was hooked on collecting militaria. His collection soon expanded at a phenomenal rate and he acquired connections throughout Russia. Trade soon came into play, which enabled him to turn his hobby into his profession. Due to the thousands of pieces that Alexander Fedotov has come into contact with, he can safely call himself a genuine militaria expert. This experience is very much needed when assessing a vast supply of militaria. He not only uses his own knowledge, but also consults his network for the necessary, specialist advice. Alexander Fedotov likes to create varied auctions with not only weapons and helmets, but also with documents, uniforms and distinctions. The unique story behind each of these objects decides their value to a great extent and makes them even more interesting to collectors.
