A good photo should deeply touch you.
Jamie Beeden studied photography at the University of London. Fresh out of university, he was hired as the assistant of an upcoming photographer, where he above all learnt how to work very hard. This came in handy when he started his own photography business a few years later. For twelve years, Jamie Beeden worked as a photographer for record labels, major magazines and multinational corporations. After all that he wanted a less hectic job and was hired as an employee at a commercial photography agency and at galleries in London. He subsequently opened his own gallery in the peaceful town of Margate.
With his extensive experience in photography, Jamie Beeden now works for Catawiki as an auctioneer. The thousands of photos that he has seen and made in his life enable him to appraise the offered lots at a glance and to recognise talent. Besides well-known names, he also includes upcoming talents in his auctions. Jamie Beeden loves to see first editions of famous photography books, preferably signed by the photographer. In this way, he would like to take his auctions to the next level and to make Catawiki the ideal place to obtain beautiful photos online.
