The creator's spirit lives on, as long as we continue to admire and wear his jewellery.
Peter Wright was introduced to the line of jewellery by a friend on his sixteenth birthday. They were in Hatton Garden in London, historically known for its many jewellers. Simply by holding these objects in his hands made him realise how special they were, and he became truly passionate about them. Not long after, Peter Wright started working at a jewellers and then went on to study gemology. Once he finished his studies, he travelled around Europe as part of his work as an adviser to Harrods and the Crown Jeweller, Garrard. He also opened two successful stores of his own.
Even after his retirement, Peter Wright could not simply drop his passion. Right then, Catawiki appeared. As an auctioneer, he is delighted to still be surprised on a daily basis by the lots that are offered. From experience, he knows that antique jewellery can be more than meets the eye, like the time he discovered a jewel of Picasso through a tiny signature. With all his experience, Peter Wright knows how to win the confidence of bidders and sellers. The knowledge that those who visit his auctions will get to experience the most beautiful jewellery, makes Peter Wright a happy man.
