Stamps are a reflection of the rich Chinese history.
As a teenager, Wenyi Zhang had a curious mind, always interested in everything beyond his surroundings. To get closer to this outside world, he started to keep in touch with people through postcards. By doing so, he maintained contact with people from all over the world. Wenyi Zhang was fascinated by the routes that these postcards would cover. Once he moved to London for his studies, that fascination grew into a great interest in postage stamps. First Japanese and then Chinese. Thus, he learned more and more about the rich Chinese history, reflected in their postage stamps, from the Empire to the People's Republic.
Although Wenyi Zhang is still relatively young, he makes up for this with passion and curiosity. In the relatively short period of time that he has been collecting stamps, he has not left a moment unused to learn more about it. The stamps he gets to see for Catawiki undergo a similar investigation. With a little luck, he can accurately track how long the mail travelled for, which post offices were passed and how long the journey took. When he finds out the true value of a stamp, Wenyi Zhang is overjoyed.
