It’s a lot of fun to work with women’s watches, a whole different ball game in fact.
When Kenzo Dijkstra went shopping for a new watch as a teenager, a new passion was born unexpectedly. He became completely fascinated by the little timepieces. The technique, the eye for detail and the capabilities of such a small object all struck him. He bought a G-Shock watch that day, but that was not enough of course. Kenzo Dijkstra wanted to know everything about watches. He built a collection by buying and selling to fund new models. Thus he learned a lot about the market and analysing watches, both from pictures and in person.
At Catawiki, Kenzo Dijkstra is responsible for the women's watch auction. A whole different ball game, which he really appreciates. Unlike the men's auction, a particular model does not guarantee a particular price. The use of precious metals makes the condition and the look of the watches very important. Therefore, Kenzo Dijkstra devotes a lot of time to the presentation of his lots and his contact with sellers. In this way, he always finds interesting and diverse lots for his next exciting auction.
