Analysing jewellery feels like second nature to me.
Daniele Ciliberto grew up in the jewellery business. His father did the sales and his mother oversaw the production. They mainly focused on the high-end jewellery market. In doing so, they visited the biggest fairs where Daniele Ciliberto took charge of all the international contacts. After a career in PR and marketing, he returned to the jewellery trade, this time with his own company. Ideally, he sold his exclusive jewellery in person, for which he often travelled thousands of kilometres to do. That gave him a wealth of human knowledge and a huge network.
After years of working for himself, Daniele Ciliberto now works for Catawiki, where he still applies his personal approach. He regularly calls sellers or visits them and of course is always available for questions. At the same time, he curates well-organised auctions, with all the information you need to place an informed bid. He does everything he can to gain the confidence of the Italian market. And rightly so because, according to Daniele Ciliberto, Catawiki is the perfect place to find a great audience for the most beautiful jewellery.
