Tim Plumbe was a happy child. When his parents went shopping, he was allowed to spend time in the comic book store. There his love for comics started. A big collection followed, with comics that are now worth thousands of euros. Unfortunately, Tim Plumbe did not realise that. Like so many others, he sold his collection. After a few successful years in the retail industry, his passion for comics returned. He promptly set up his own trade and was back in the world of mutants and superheroes in no time. During his years in retail, Tim Plumbe learned the key to a successful business: trust. Therefore, he devotes the greatest attention to his relations with bidders and sellers. In addition, Tim Plumbe does his best to put Catawiki on the map in the UK particularly by visiting fairs, but of course also by curating well put together auctions that contain, for example, comics with spectacular covers by artists like Gabriele Dell'otto and Todd McFarlane or beautiful collections of vintage X-men or Spider-man comics. By doing so he hopes to attract more enthusiasts from the UK and the rest of the world.
