Coins exist far longer than people, so it's nice to take care of them for a few years.
Danny Neuzerling was around seven years old when he was allowed to take a look at his uncle's coin collection and received a few coins as a gift. He was immediately fascinated. After his mother could no longer pay for his hobby, he went as a teenager to fairs and speciality stores. There he laid the foundations of his own collection of coins from the Dutch Kingdom. Later, Danny Neuzerling became an exhibitor himself and started his own webshop selling premium, uncirculated coins. This is why he has a thorough knowledge of the market and knows exactly what coins should look like.
For Danny Neuzerling, collecting coins is also a social event. He likes to interact with other professionals to take his knowledge to a higher level. That's why he enjoys being an auctioneer at Catawiki. He connects supply and demand and uses his trained eye. Therefore, Danny curates his auctions with great pleasure, preferably with coins that are not cleaned too thoroughly but have a nice natural patina. This even makes an ordinary coin into a masterpiece, something which no enthusiast can resist.
