Details
Obv: Bust facing with long, straight beard wearing diademed tiara with two dotted crescents (?). Pellet within crescent above anchor with one bar, to right. Rev: Eagle facing; no crescents. Elymais, Elamais, or the more ancient name, Elam, was a semi-independent state from about 150 BCE to 230 CE, that was frequently a vassal under Parthian control. It was located at the head of the Persian Gulf in the present-day region of Khuzestan, Iran (Susiana).
