“When we first announced the launch of the Daimler Ds420, there was a lot of talk over whether we would release the Queen Mothers Daimler. Well here it is, a lovely car Black and Claret version carrying the registration plate NLT1.
The first of her five DS420s was purchased in May 1970 - car no 1M1559 (Vanden Plas job no. 12493). When her car was approaching the end of the production line, she visited the factory to watch its completion and to agree some of the finer design details. The cars is very recognisable carrying the Royal Coat of Arms.”
