Details
Clayton & Company of Huddersfield started Karrier Motors Ltd in 1904, although the name was not used until 1920. The 4-wheeler forward control ‘Bantam’ appeared in 1936 to replace the ‘Cob’ and ‘Colt’ models. The ‘Bantam’ was upgraded in 1948 receiving an all steel cab, and again in 1963, as this version, for increasing requirements for capacity. It is seen here as the Tanker version.
