The Column of the Congress and the Constitution (Dutch: Congreskolom) in Brussels is a commemorative column designed by architect Joseph Poelaert. It was built on the initiative of Charles Rogier, between 1850 and 1859, in commemoration of the National Congress of 1830-31. In 1920, the tomb of the Unknown Soldier was installed at its foot in memory of the Belgian soldiers who died during the 1914-1918 war.
