Eddy Chatelin - Vocals / guitar John Swart - Guitar Andre Serban - Bas Rudy Davids - Drums At the end of 1963 Eddy Chatelin was drafted in Germany to fulfill his military service in the Netherlands. Fortunately for him it lasted less than two months. As a temporary replacement, experienced guitarist Wally Swärz (ex-The Eastern Aces) took his place at The Crazy Rockers. Eddy formed a new band during his service in the Netherlands and this Eddy & The Crazy Jets (Show) consisted, besides Eddy, of guitarist Rudy 'blacky' Swart (ex-The Dynamics), bassist Andrei Serban (ex-The Royal Teens) and drummer Rudy Davids (ex-The Starlights). Hans Kellerman was there like the chickens to make some recordings for his Delta label with this 'super group'. The first single with an adaptation of the ancient Down By The Riverside and Come On Let's Slop was released around the turn of the year 63/64. In the Netherlands, Eddy Chatelin was in the news early in 1964 with his song Come On Let's Slop. The origin of this song was with The Tielman Brothers, but they never performed in the Netherlands (we had to wait until 1965 at Palais de Dance) and it was only later that they discovered their performance on a live tape from 1962 (Jolly Bar, Hanau). Some riffs can also be heard on Let's Do The Slop by René & The Alligators from 1964. Joost de Draayer played the song almost every day on Radio Veronica and he wrote a few pieces about it on his own page in the magazine Muziek Expres. The single was released on the new KING label in England in early 1964. The 2nd single with the songs Highschool Blues and By The Light Of The Silvery Moon was also plugged in well. Nederbeat.info
