Frank Zappa - Studio Tan plus 3 rare (RSD!) singles - Diverse Titel - LP - Farbiges Vinyl, Record Store Day Release - 1978
Most people know his mustache. Rock ‘n rollers know of his humour. Fans know his music and his amazing guitar-playing. He released over a hundrerd albums. On offer here is oner. Plus, amazingly, three 7” singles. Yes, he released those too!
All records are in absolute mint condition. One of the singles is even still sealed. One is a limited RSD-edition with green marbled vinyl. No folds, creases, let alone scratches. This is prime material. Check my reviews.
1. Studio Tan. A famous record, as it is one of the four part Läther-project. Warner did not want to release a four-disk album and put them out separately, without Zappa’s consent. There was no promotion, most fans did not even know they were out. There are very little of them, which makes them ultra rare. Here you have one, in mint condition. (The other ones are Sleep Dirt, Orchestral Favorites and part of New York).
Discreet Records, DSK 2291, 1978, Canada. Sleeve mint, vinyl mint.
2. Baby take your teeth out/Stevie’s spanking. Poor Stevie Vai, he was made the butt of many concerts. Amazing condition, discogs does not have one like this.
EMI, 1A 006 20 0388 7, 1984, Netherlands. Sleeve mint, vinyl mint
3. Don’t eat the yellow snow/Down in de dew (prev. unreleased) Remastered rerelease of 1974 single.
Zappa Records, BPR1225, 2014, EU. Sleeve mint, vinyl mint (still sealed)
4. I’m the slime/Montana. Second in special rerelease series. A Record Store Day edition: green marbled vinyl. ‘I'm The Slime’ is a completely different mix compared to the album version; the vocals and guitar are centered and there's more trombone, just before "That's right, folks...", and it has a completely different guitar solo at the end. ‘Montana’ is the album mix, but in that 1973 issue shortened from 6:37 to 4:39 by cutting out the solo and fading the ending slightly earlier; so this single edit is longer.
Barkin Pumpkin Records, 24302 12227, 2013. Sleeve mint, vinyl mint
Again: check the pictures for the unbelievable condition. All will be preciously packed and swiftly send.
