Breitling - Chronographe Colt - Ohne mindestpreis - A53335 - Herren - 1990-1999

Breitling Colt Chronograph - A53035 - Quartz - Mid 1990s - 38mm Breitling Colt Chronograph reference A53035 from the mid-1990s, serial 3449. Stainless steel 38mm case with unidirectional steel timing bezel and rider tabs, signed screw-down crown, dual pump pushers, and a triple-register chronograph layout with date at 4:30. Fitted with Breitling's high-grade thermocompensated quartz caliber B53 (27 jewels, ETA 251.262 base), marked "Manufacture en Suisse" on the bridge. The Colt was launched in the 1980s as a military-spec instrument and became one of Breitling's most accessible tool chronographs. The A53035 quartz chronograph version, produced through the mid and late 1990s, paired the recognisable Colt case architecture with one of the most accurate quartz chronograph movements ever built — a caliber developed jointly by ETA and Breitling, with twenty-seven jewels and a tachymeter scale around the outer dial track. Key characteristics: - Reference: A53035 - Caliber: B53 (base ETA 251.262), thermocompensated quartz chronograph, 27 jewels - Case: stainless steel, 38mm diameter, ~11mm thickness, 18mm lug width - Bezel: unidirectional steel with rider tabs at the cardinal points - Crown: signed, screw-down - Functions: hours, minutes, small seconds, date, 1/10s and minute chronograph counters, tachymeter - Dial: silver-cream with three black subdials, applied indices, tritium luminous - Strap: aftermarket black leather with white contrast stitching and signed Breitling pin buckle - Caseback: screw-down, engraved "Manufacture en Suisse Chronographe 100M" The watch is offered in honest used condition and is fully working. The movement runs accurately, the chronograph functions correctly across all subdials with clean start, stop and reset, and the date changes as expected. The dial presents aging marks and discoloration patches, most visible on the right side and around the date window, consistent with the age of the piece; the printed text, the winged Breitling logo and the subdials remain legible and sharp. Tritium on the hands and indices has aged to a uniform cream tone. The case retains its original geometry with light wear on the polished bezel and crown guards. Crystal is clear. The bezel rotates and clicks correctly. Sold as untested for water resistance given the age of the seals. From a private collection. Shipped registered and insured to all destinations.
