A lot of two very well kept bottles of 1982 Bordeaux, including a 94/100 points from Robert Parker.
Highly regarded as one of the best vintages collectively in Bordeaux 1982’s are very sought after and collectible. This lot includes:
1982 Chateau Canon
1982 Chateau d’Issan
92/100 points, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
An outstanding, dark ruby/purple-hued effort with little lightening at the edge, the 1982 Canon exhibits plenty of crushed rock, red and black currant, and dusty, earthy, loamy notes. It is a full-bodied, powerful, slightly austere St.-Emilion with moderately high tannins. This is the greatest Canon produced over the last thirty years. Believe it or not, this 1982 is not yet fully mature. It should drink well for another 10-15 years. Drink 2015-2024.
D’Issan 1982: A beautiful classic aged Bordeaux scoring an average of 92/100 points on Cellar Tracker. The 1982 still has a dark red colour. The nose is very appealing on this wine; not quintessential Margaux, but very good nonetheless. Lots of leather, some perfume, red fruits. The palate was fairly consistent but on the austere side, lighter medium bodied, tart, red fruit, wood spice. Excellent finish. A very good wine from an outstanding vintage.
Kept in underground temperature and humidity-controlled cellar. Any import costs outside the EU (including UK and Switzerland) are entirely the buyer's responsibility.
