Hans Rottenhammer was an important German Baroque Painter who went to Rome, Venice. Known for his religious and allegorical paintings. He worked with the Flemish landscape painters Jan Breughel the elder (1568-1625) and Paul Bril (1554-1626). He died in Augsburg.
Engraving made by Lucas Kilian (1579 – 1637) ca 1600-1637. His engravings are always from a high quality. For instance: The portrait of Durer made by Lucas Kilian is still one of the most beautiful portraits of Albrecht Dürer.
