Luigi Rossini (1790-1857); etching with watermark
"Veduta Generale del Tempio di Venere....", beautiful and large etching of 1821
engraved by Luigi Rossini. Architect, painter, and etcher. Born in Ravenna on 15 April 1790, he died in Rome on 22 April 1857. A student of the Academy of Bologna, he has engraved numerous collections of prints, the most important of which are: “Le vedute di Roma”, a collection of 101 copper plates; “Viaggio da Roma a Napoli”, a splendid series of the most beautiful views along the Appian Way from Rome to Naples; "I sette colli", a monumental work on the seven hills of Rome and others.
Etching on thick paper with watermark.
In excellent condition, shipped in a rigid tube.
