Öl auf Leinwand - Nicht signiert - 1720/1740 CA

Important painting depicting a beautiful scene between Amnon and Tamar, which Professor Daniele Benati calls “of particular pleasantness” in the expertise that accompanies the painting. Ignaz Stern, known as Ignazio Stella or Ignazio Stern, (Mauerkirchen Passavia 17 January 1679 - Rome 28 May 1748), moved from Bavaria to Italy where, in Bologna, he was a student of Carlo Cignani. Later he moved to Rome where he had as not only several nobles but also the clergy for the construction of altarpieces.

The frame is kindly offered as a gift, therefore we do not accept any claims and are not responsible for any damage during transport. Photocopy expertise by Daniele Benati accompanying the work.
