Handwritten letter signed and composed by Father Henri-Dominique Lacordaire on June 5, 1834 in Paris.
In his three-page letter addressed to Countess Sophie Swetchine, his close friend, and in which he mentions the approval of their joint work by the Church "Saint Sulpica" and in particular by "Monsieur l'Abbé Carrier, their strongest theologian" who found nothing to complain about their work, supposedly with a religious theme. He mentions praise, notably by "Monsieur Dicot". He also mentions his plans for the month of August as well as an excursion to Cologne.
In relatively well-preserved condition. There is foxing and small ink stains (including a small imprint on the front, on the right edge. Tear and lack of paper on the inner central fold (2.4 cm long) without affecting the text. Presence of two original stamps.
