First edition of the French translation of this unpublished compilation of the relations of the most famous Voyageurs, adapted in a simple style for didactic purposes by the German writer, pedagogue and linguist Joachim Heinrich Campe (1746-1818).

Very rare complete collection in itself of the first 58 volumes bound in 29 volumes telling the series (years) 1 to 5 published in Paris from 1802 to 1806, the 3rd year printed in 1810.

Estimated for the very beautiful iconography composed of a pretty world map enhanced in colors, 9 Fold-out maps including 7 in color and 50 figures out of text engraved on copper, some of them fold-outs, one repeated in volume 4 of the 3rd year (Collated)

Book published in subscription, following the model of the "library of the ladies " this one " for the use of Charles de Montmorency " printed on the guards at the beginning. The name Montmorency.disappears in the volumes of the 3rd and 5th years printed respectively in 1810 and 1806.
