Viet Ha Tran - Xian: Myths of the Beauties, Diao Chan

Unique art photograph created in 2015 that is a combination of fine art photography, digital manipulation techniques, collage and painting textures. Artwork created in 2015. The whole planning process for this fashion shooting took our team 9 months, all costumes were bought from Hong Kong and sent to Madrid for the photo session (series Xian: Myths of the Beauties - 2015 - published on Photo Vogue, Widewalls, Aesthetica Magazine, Vietnam News amongst others). There is no AI (Artificial Intelligence) involved in the art process of this artwork. The photo is printed on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl paper, a premium quality fine art paper which delivers accurate and vibrant colors in print as you see onscreen. Photo size: 45 x 30 cm including a small white border all around. The project "XIAN - Myths of the Beauties" was inspired by the Four Great Beauties of ancient China who changed the history of the four different dynasties in ancient times: Diao Chan, Yang Guifei, Wang Zhaojun, and Xishi. These Four Great Beauties were renowned for their unparalleled beauty which they used to exercise influence over kings and warriors. This artwork depicts the beauty of Diao Chan whose beauty was described as: “Beauty which outshines the moon and shames the flowers“. This legend embodies in an exaggerated way her beautiful appearance in the eyes of the Chinese people. The photograph participated in my solo exhibition at Medinaceli Museum, Ducal Palace of Medinaceli, Spain during November 2021. Over 30 photographs that Viet Ha Tran created during 2013 - 2021 were exhibited on this occasion. The Medinaceli Museum dedicated to cultural exhibitions was inaugurated inside Palacio Ducal de Medinaceli in 2008. The Palace was declared Spanish National Asset of Cultural Interest in 1979. Comes with signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Also artist signature at the back of the photo. The package will be sent in a carton tube by UPS. ________________________________________________________________________________ THE ARTIST: Viet Ha Tran | Contemporary Artist | Madrid, Spain Member of the Board of Directors, The Royal Photographic Society of Spain Viet Ha Tran is a Vietnam born fine art photographer and contemporary artist whose unique art has earned her commissions from globally renowned entities such as Amazon USA, Louis Vuitton France, and Vogue Italy.
