Description:
A highly expressive Watermelon Tourmaline slice distinguished by its exceptionally vivid green peripheral rim, the most intense of the entire five piece collection. The slice carries the classic tricolour architecture of Minas Gerais: a soft white transition ring and a deep pink heart, glowing gently when illuminated.
Unlike the number 1 and number 3 stones, this piece shows natural surface abrasions on the upper edge, not cracks, not structural fractures, but the typical contact abrasions seen in pegmatitic environments, where the crystal grew against other minerals. These features do not affect its translucency or internal structure; instead, they add individuality and unmistakable natural character.
The chromatic zoning remains strong: a rounded pink core, framed by a clean transition halo, and encased by a saturated green border that radiates brightness. Light passes easily through the structure, revealing internal luminosity and soft glow. No black inclusions disturb the zoning, preserving the aesthetic purity of the colour halo.
This is a AA grade museum slice, chosen for its exceptional colour intensity and overall balance, slightly below AAA only due to natural abrasions, yet undoubtedly superior to the vast majority of commercial Watermelons on the market.
