A large Chinese figural famille verte porcelain rouleau 'Ladies' vase made after Kangxi models. China, Qing dynasty, 19th century. Very rare!
Finely potted, the slightly tapered body rising to a cylindrical neck and everted mouth rim. Painted to the exterior in bright enamels with a continuous scene depicting four little boys and four maidens within a garden landscape, standing beside a large table set with a musical instrument, paintings, book, fan, miniature vases, basket with flowers. The shoulder with reserves enclosing Chinese ribboned symbols interspersed with red flowers on a ground of dense black swirls on ochre ground. Neck with band of Ruyi heads. Mouth-rim with narrow band of red swirls. Inscribed to the base with six-character underglaze blue Kangxi mark.
