Set aus Rosella-Papageien (männlich & weiblich) Taxidermie-Ganzkörpermontage - Platycercus eximius - with closed footrings - 40 cm - 54 cm - 25 cm - CITES Anhang II - Anlage B in der EU

Set of Rosella Parrots (Male & Female) – Platycercus eximius In excellent condition – No reserve A dramatic and colourful presence for any interior: this high-end quality pair of Rosella parrots, captured in a lively composition with one bird perched calmly while the other opens its wings in mid-motion. Their vibrant palette of reds, blues, greens and yellows makes them a striking centrepiece in both classic and contemporary spaces. A real statement object with instant visual allure. Approx. dimensions: 40 × 54 × 25 cm Period: late 1970s to early 1980s Origin: The Netherlands Mounted legally and professionally in the Netherlands in accordance with the 1936 Bird Act by high-end taxidermist R. Knol in Sint Maartensdijk. The brass rings visible on the leg are typical bird-rings from the 1970s–1980s. Such rings were issued by ornithological organisations or breeders for identification and research. They contain coded information such as the issuing organizations abbreviation, the breeder’s or ringer’s unique number, the year code, and a sequential identification number. Condition: In excellent vintage condition, beautifully preserved with strong colours and a naturalistic posture. Please review the photos for an accurate impression. Historical context: Rosella parrots became popular display and aviary birds throughout Europe in the 20th century due to their brilliant plumage and gentle temperament. Taxidermy pairs like this, especially in dynamic poses, were often created for private collectors or educational displays, combining natural history interest with decorative appeal. Shipping: Carefully packed for safe worldwide delivery.
