Inside super fresh and flawless; clean with no marks and with no foxing. Outside very fresh and complete with not creased spine (very often the case); very light trace of use only, no remarkable flaws or defects. Overall in very fine condition.
Very sought-after photobook title - extremely hard to find in this wonderful fresh condition.
Gunter Rambow is a German graphic designer and photographer, and one of the few remaining poster designers with political edge. His posters contain caustic comments on everyday life. Rambow’s use of documentary-style photography actualises the often abstract ideas behind his designs. It has become a defining feature of his work: to confront the imagery of myths and fantasy with the problems and contradictions of contemporary society. Rambow`s first book publications between 1968 and 1970 were original photo books in which he participated in the "sex wave" shortly after relaxation of the old pornography case law of the Federal Republic of Germany. La Promenade de Konig Immerlustik is his first book and increasingly rare. Rare first self-published book by Gunter Rambow, published two years before the better known "Doris". 192 full page photographs showing the buttocks of his wife Betty.The scenes are taken as a sequence of life, sometimes subtle, sometimes in conspicuous places, in the Mountain Park in Kassel, in spaces and places of the 4th Documenta with works in the background in fields, in a dilapidated house in the prairie or timber used for the Exposition Universelle de l`Orangerie. The woman herself is never seen. This book of Rambow evokes erotic provocation but also naive innocence.
