Περιγραφή από τον πωλητή
Έξι-πλάνη πάνελ χαρτοδώματος με χρυσή αμμόρρα ground depicting a wide mountainous landscape with an agricultural scene set in spring. In the foreground, a stream crossed by a small bridge with figures engaged in daily activities unfolds across the composition; on the right, among trees and rocks, a watermill stands at the foot of a waterfall.
The landscape opens onto a valley softened by light atmospheric washes, with mountain ranges emerging in the background, creating depth and visual continuity across the panels.
Signed on the right.
The screen is finished with a lacquered wooden frame.
The screen can also be easily mounted on a wall or used as a room divider.
Byōbu (屏風), literally “wind protection screens,” are traditional Japanese folding screens originally created to divide spaces and today appreciated above all as striking wall-mounted paintings.
--- The byobu is in good condition. Wear and restorations along the joints between the fourth and fifth panels. Imperfections of the paper in the lower part of the sixth panel with a small hole near the signature. Wear to the pigments across the surface. Hole on the reverse. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
The item will be carefully packed and shipped accompanied by the original certificate of authenticity issued by Mastromauro Japanese art gallery based in Milan, Italy.
