This gallery can confirm at any time that it is an authentic work by Nancy Petyarre.
So it is not a print/reproduction.
Nancy Petyarre was an artist who lived in Utopia, 170 miles from Alice Springs. The second oldest of Utopia’s famous and productive ‘seven famous Petyarre sisters’ she was not a productive artist herself.
It wasn’t until she was in her 40s, in the 1980s, that Nancy started painting. She first painted on batik and later on canvas. She also made woodcarvings that were on display at many exhibitions.
