Ceremonial Sword of The Knights of Pythias is a fraternal organisation and secret society founded in Washington, DC, on February 19, 1864. The Knights of Pythias is the first fraternal organisation to receive a charter under an act of the United States Congress. It was founded by Justus H. Rathbone, who was inspired by a work by the Irish poet John Banim on the legend of Damon and Pythias. This legend illustrates the ideals of loyalty, honour, and friendship that are at the core of the order. The sword has different symbols etched in gold acid and the name of the owner K. A. Saom. The golden scabbard includes beautiful decorations with scenes from the history of Phitias and Biblicas. a sword full of symbolic allusions to the mystical world of Freemasonry, a very beautiful piece and in very good condition for its age. IMPORTANT: Not for sale outside the European Union
