After Endurance was trapped and crushed in the Weddell Sea ice, Shackleton led his crew through a 15-month ordeal: camping on drifting ice, navigating 800 miles in open boats to South Georgia, and crossing its uncharted mountains to secure rescue. Covers worn, with a split at the base of the spine where it joins the back cover; foxing and discolouration throughout. Folding map with a small tear at the opening, not affecting the map itself.
