Questo straordinario Hamilton Square del 1926 rappresenta un capolavoro dell'orologeria americana dell'epoca. La cassa in oro bianco 14K racchiude un quadrante particolarmente luminoso, caratteristica distintiva dei modelli di questa serie.
Il movimento 986A, equipaggiato con 17 rubini e calibro 6/0, garantisce l'affidabilità che contraddistingue i meccanismi Hamilton di questa generazione. Ciò che rende questo esemplare particolarmente interessante è la sua transizione verso il movimento 987, introdotto nel 1927 con l'aggiunta della lancetta dei secondi.
Le differenze dimensionali tra questi due calibri hanno reso necessaria la creazione di casse dedicate, conferendo ai modelli Square del 1926 e 1927 un'unicità costruttiva.
Nel medesimo periodo, Hamilton ampliò la propria collezione con il modello "geometric" Barrel nel 1927 e la forma Tonneau nel 1928, consolidando la propria posizione nel mercato orologiero internazionale.

Lo Square rimase in produzione fino al 1930, disponibile in versioni sia maschili che femminili. Degna di nota è l'assenza del registro per la lancetta dei secondi nel movimento 986A, elemento che conferisce a questo orologio un fascino particolare, testimonianza di un'eleganza funzionale senza compromessi. Dimensioni: 35 x 28 mm.
