First of all, it is inconceivable that Catawiki would be unaware of European regulations.

We clearly failed to make it sufficiently obvious that the box shown in the photo was for display purposes only and not for sale.
We have a simple policy: if you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it at our expense.
After explaining this to the buyer, we received a request for a partial refund.
P.S.
An absurd request, especially considering the item was purchased for half its actual value.

We fully understand the nature of auctions and the risk of not making a profit;

Today I received the vintage earrings. They are beautiful. But I didn’t get them in the vintage box (Oreficeria Sorgato) that is shown in the photo. I received them in a modern standard box.

Cannot trust him. First he said the ring was shipped, than that it was lost by the shipping company, after a month I found by myself that it was NEVER sent by him but lost or sold elsewhere.
