How is it possible that someone won the auction with a bid placed after 20:00 CET?

Our auctions close starting at 20:00 CET. However, a lot can continue to run after 20:00 CET. This is because the first lot in an auction ends at 20:00 CET, the next one at 20:01 CET, the following one at 20:02 CET and so on. This allows our bidders to track multiple lots in the same auction in real time.

There may also be a later end time because if your bid is placed in the last minute of an auction, extra time will be added. This gives all bidders an equal opportunity to win a lot and avoids everyone placing their bids in the last five seconds.
