My account has been hacked. What do I do now?

The first thing that you need to do if you suspect your account was hacked is reset your Catawiki password. Please also take this time to make sure that you change your password in any other places where you might have used the same log in details. This will help prevent any other unwanted actions to be taken in your name.

It's important to never share your sign in details with anyone else, as this increases the risk of your log in details ending up in the wrong hands. You are responsible for managing this aspect of your account security. If you suspect that your sign in details have fallen into the wrong hands, you must notify Catawiki immediately.

If fraud has been committed, please report it to the police and send us a copy of the official police report within 7 business days. Until such a police report is provided, any bids and consequent purchases will remain valid, and you will be requested to pay for them in full.
