Vintage gilded wall lamp from Maison Le Dauphin France, designed by Maurice Tournu in Hollywood Regency style, circa 1970–1980, with metal and gilding, model Dauphin, height 76 cm, width 17 cm, depth 18 cm, weight about 3 kg, large bulb included, in good working order with minor signs of aging.
Description from the seller
In good working order and in good vintage condition, a beautiful and unique chic gilded wall lamp with wavy steel iron solid rods, from the French manufacturer Maison Le Dauphin from Saint-Marcellin, France, in Hollywood Regency style, dating from the 1970s. This lamp provides a wonderfully atmosphere light thanks to the specially large bulb.
Note: Tiny scratches, spots, and possible paint damage. Please inspect all the photos carefully before you bid.
Dimensions: Height 76 cm x Width 17 cm x Depth 18 cm.
Weight: approx. 3 kg.
Light source: A large incandescent bulb is included with this wall lamp; the power cord and on/off switch are also included with this wall lamp.
Background information.
The company Le Dauphin was founded in January 1966 by Maurice Tournu as a small lampshade company. In 1970, a first factory was built. In the 1980s, more than 250 employees worked there. Over 50,000 lamps were produced annually, located in the heart of the Rhône Alpes region. Le Dauphin is a brand known for its high-quality fixtures and timeless style. The artisanal factory was located in Saint-Marcellin, about 50 kilometers from Grenoble.
Dressing the light so that it becomes a source of decoration was the motto of the company Le Dauphin.
The company name finds its origin in the former name of the province where it is located: Dauphiné.
The company Maison Le Dauphin France no longer exists. The company ceased operations in 2009 and was removed from the trade register in 2013. The website remained online until 2017. Source: Wikipedia.
