Exclusive Sweet Wine Auction with NO RESERVE PRICE Magnificent Mosel Pair of Magnums (1500 ml) – For Experts and Connoisseurs Only 2 x Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Lange Goldkapsel Both Bottles Personally Signed by Wilhelm Haag A True Collector’s Dream: 3 Liters of Rare Mosel Auslese Lange Goldkapsel This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire a rare pair of 1.5 liter magnum bottles of Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Lange Goldkapsel. These two identical bottles represent one of the highest expressions of sweet Mosel Riesling, produced from one of Germany’s most celebrated vineyards. Both bottles are personally signed by Wilhelm Haag. This lot is offered with NO RESERVE PRICE. Estate History – More Than 400 Years of Mosel Tradition Weingut Fritz Haag is one of the most historic estates in the Mosel. The first documented reference to the winery dates back to 1605, and the Haag family has continuously owned and operated the estate since that time. Wilhelm Haag took over the estate in 1957 at the age of 20. Under his leadership, the winery was transformed into one of Germany’s most respected Riesling producers. He was later named German Winemaker of the Year and also served as chairman of the Grosser Ring VDP Mosel. Since 2005, the winemaking has been led by his son Oliver Haag, who continues the family tradition of precise, meticulous Riesling production. Today, the estate is internationally recognized as one of the jewels of the Mosel region. The Vineyard – Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr This vineyard is classified as VDP Grosse Lage and is considered one of the finest sites in the Mosel. The steep south‑facing Devonian slate slopes directly above the Mosel River provide exceptional sunlight exposure and heat retention. These ideal conditions produce Rieslings with great aromatic purity, elegant sweetness, and long aging potential. Lange Goldkapsel – Highest Level of Auslese Selection Lange Goldkapsel identifies an Auslese made from the richest and most concentrated berries of the harvest, often including fruit touched by noble rot. These wines are deeper, more complex, sweeter, and extremely limited in production. Lange Goldkapsel bottlings age slowly and develop layers of honey, exotic fruit, caramelized citrus, and smoky slate over many decades. The Signature of Wilhelm Haag Wilhelm Haag is one of the most influential winemakers in the history of the Mosel. His signature on each bottle adds significant historical and collector value, especially in rare magnum format. Condition and Provenance Magnum format ensures slower and more graceful aging. Both bottles come directly from the estate in April of 2008 and have been stored under perfect climate‑controlled conditions in the OHMS Connoisseurs Choice professional cellar. Labels and capsules excellent. Fill levels perfect. Both bottles signed by Wilhelm Haag. Why This Lot Matters Two identical magnums of Auslese Lange Goldkapsel from one of Germany’s greatest Riesling estates, signed by a legendary winemaker, and offered with impeccable provenance.
