Description from the seller
Gilbert Decock – s.t. (1992)
A tight and balanced silkscreen print by the Belgian artist Gilbert Decock (1928–2007), an important representative of geometric abstraction in Belgium.
The 1992 work presents a pared-down composition of overlapping corner structures in black, red and white. The powerful L-shaped elements create a layered spatiality and a subtle play of depth and perspective. The thin red line functions as a tension axis within the monumental black plane. This clear reduction to form and color is characteristic of Decock's mature oeuvre.
