Description from the seller

"Treasures No7" is a part of the series: The Goldzuuker. The photographer made still lifes with found objects from the IJssel. This resulted in 2024 an exhibition in the monumental building along the IJssel where the photographer has her studio. The photograph is printed on Canson Fibre Rag and framed in an old frame without glass. The size of the photograph is 42x35, including the antique frame 63x53 cm. It concerns the third copy of 12 prints.

In Van de Bunte's still lifes, everyday objects are given a new role. They are detached from utility and use and appear as pure forms: still, present, almost vulnerable. Through the soft light, the sober composition, and the attention to skin, scale, glass, and ceramics, a hushed world emerges in which time slows down.

Seller's Story

Passionate, sensitive and an eye for detail, light and colour, would be a nice description for Ursula's working method. She is a perfectionist, enthusiastic and diligent, she will only be satisfied when the well-known WOW factor has been achieved. With her artworks she tries to bring her subjects forward in the purest way. Ursula transforms objects into powerful still lifes and the portraits are a reflection of a bygone time, in which every now and then a sprinkle of modern life is incorporated. Her work is unconventional and the use of light tends towards her sources of inspiration; the paintings of Jacques-Louis David, Rembrandt and Caravaggio. As a photographer, Ursula also tries to distinguish herself through diversity in her work and, in addition to individual creations, she also makes series, in which she lets multiple images tell one story. She was discovered, among other things, with her intriguing, tranquil still lifes: the series Plastic Vegetables’ and the series ‘House-4-Sale’. These works have been awarded various prizes, including for the series “de 100 van Rooyackers.” Exhibitions: 2024 Municipal Museum Kampen 2023 ANNO museum Zwolle 2019 Foundation Zwolle 2019 WG Art Amsterdam 2017 Warehouse 6 Amsterdam 2016-present Galerie ANNEE, Solo, Group exhibitions 2016 from Abbemuseum Publications: Stentor-Haarlems Dagblad, HP de Tijd, GUP New Dutch Photography Prices include, 2017 Public Prize Photographic Design 2015 PIA d'or Award second prize Portrait 2021 Fine Art Photography Awards Portrait
