Biography:
Daniela Scanu, born in Brescia in 1976, from a young age she showed a marked creative aptitude, which led her to studies in the fields of fashion and drawing. She attended the IPSIA Fortuny Institute in Brescia, earning the diploma of fashion designer and illustrator.
Subsequently, she did not continue in the fashion sector, but pursued sports studies, which enabled her to become an international judge of pole sport and a sports instructor.
She taught for several years at sports centers and dance schools:
Pole sport, aerial hoop, yoga, Caribbean dances, Oriental dances, ballroom dancing, yoga.
Thanks to her great tenacity and determination she achieved excellent results as an international athlete.
Among the most notable are
1st place in Spain, Tortosa at the "WSG 2019",
2nd place in Finland, "Championship 2019".
But her true vocation remains the art of photography, that quiet passion which, thanks to dance and sport, she continues to cultivate, delving specifically into artistic nude, portraiture, conceptual photography.
The photographic world of Daniela Scanu is capable of astonishing and enchanting the viewer; her particular sensitivity and the powerful expressive sense reach a strong convergence between artistic photography and painting and sculpture.
The ability to translate a body into universal iconographies through which personal emotions and introspection travel.
The human body becomes the vehicle for transporting the soul, an expression of pain, but also of great inner rebirth.
