2024 Joaquin Dall'isola - Campania IGT - 6 Bottles (0.75L)

The Dall’Isola (From the Island) vineyards are located on the island of Capri, off the coast of Naples. This isn't the first place you'd think of for viticulture, but Joaquin began producing wines from Capri's vineyards in 2009. On the island, Joaquin is restoring very old (some pre-Philloxera) and forgotten vines. The vineyards consist of a mix of different grape varieties, as care is taken to ensure the climate is suitable for wine production. In certain vintages, certain grapes perform better than others. Some of these grapes are indigenous to Capri, which is, of course, quite special. Once a day, a ferry sails to the island. For the harvest, Joaquin rents this entire ferry to transport the grapes to their winery. The grapes are first harvested by hand and then transported to the winery. Vinification takes place in steel vats with light fermentation, maceration, and further aging in the bottle. Joaquin's Dall'Isola has a luminous straw-yellow color with golden hints. On the nose, the wine has an intense bouquet of flowers and white flesh, with notes of peach and apricot, and a dominant mineral and citrus note. Only 605 bottles were produced for the 2023 vintage.
