In this antique frame, of English manufacture, wooden with classical decorations and a brush-gilding showing signs of wear and traces of years gone by that mark its historic character. The frame bears a faded inscription on the back, difficult to read, but surely indicating an ancient English workshop. The gilding shows signs of aging and does not appear to be gold-leaf gilding.

La cornice riporta una scritta sul retro sbiadita ed difficilmente leggibile ma sicuramente in indicazione di antica bottega inglese .
