Hieronymus Bosch: “Triptych The Haywain, 1570”.
Authorized offset litho, rendered in premium pearl-matte satin.
In the border, in small print, is the artist's name, title of the work and copyright.
The work is in excellent condition.
This work is the Haywain Triptych (also known as The Haywain), a famous painting by the Flemish master Jheronimus Bosch.
The original panel is housed in the Museo del Prado in Madrid.
The image shows the central panel of the triptych, which presents an allegorical depiction of humanity losing itself in earthly pleasures and greed, symbolized by the haywain.
Above the haywain, an angel and Christ look on, while the crowd around it fights over the hay, which stands for the transience of worldly goods.
The painting was purchased in 1570 by the Spanish king Philip II.
Never framed and kept in a dark archival storage between protective acid-free paper. The shown photos are part of the description.
