Roman bronze statuette of a warrior, probably Mars, dating from the 1st to 3rd century AD, in a patinated bronze with a dark brown to black surface and lighter encrustations, standing nude with a high crested helmet, extended right arm (bearing an attribute now missing), left arm supporting a large oval shield, detailed boots, and diagonal baldric; height 6.7 cm, width 4.1 cm, depth 1 cm, weight 52.68 g, provenance from a Dutch private collection, acquired in Belgium in the early 2000s, and all items come with a CoA.

A Roman bronze statuette of a warrior, probably Mars, 1st-3rd century A.D.
Depicting a standing nude male figure with muscular torso and legs, wearing a high crested helmet with three prominent knobs. His right arm is extended forward, the hand once holding an attribute (possibly a patera or spear, now missing). His left arm supports a large oval shield resting against the shoulder. He wears detailed boots, and a baldric crosses his chest diagonally. The face is finely modelled with pronounced eyes, nose and mouth. The surface displays a dark brown to black patina with areas of lighter encrustation.
