BIO: Jesse Rodriguez alias "Sonic" was born in 1961, he grew up in New York. He lives and works in the Bronx. In 1970s New York, the graffiti world was exploding, but while street artists most often represent letters, Sonic brings a new vision and a new way to graffiti. In addition to his bright colors, the letters are now accompanied by human figures. His unique style is today one of the city’s most famous, his works stem from prolific work and perpetual innovative research. Thanks to photographic capture, his art, initially ephemeral, earns lasting recognition. Sonic’s works go beyond the street frame and incorporate into the worlds of fashion or the video game industry.
