Gertsch Fredi, Baby Meets Keith, acrylic on canvas, Original edition, 2025, hand-signed, 80 × 80 cm, very good condition, Swiss pop art work depicting animals, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
«Baby Meets Keith» shows Fredi's iconic cow – bright yellow, with playful details and a flower in its mouth – in front of a densely populated background full of dancing, jumping and interacting figures in bold colors. The line work, the stylized human figures, the heart, the barking dog and the distinctive number board “84” are unmistakable quotes from the New York street-art scene of the 1980s. The result is a cheerful, energetic work that fuses two unmistakable visual worlds into a single, pulsating composition.

About the artist:
I am Fredi Gertsch, a Swiss contemporary painter with studio and exhibition space in Burgdorf. Since 2021 I have worked in the historic town center at Kronenplatz – in a generous ground-floor space with four large shop windows, where visitors can regularly see my latest works in their original form.
My art fuses Pop Art and Street Art aesthetics: bold colors, clear lines, collage-like elements, and strong storytelling. Animals – especially cows, sheep and birds – as well as everyday objects appear as protagonists and explore social, ecological and human themes with humor, warmth and optimism.
Many paintings are created freely from imagination, without reference images. Others begin with a digital sketch (Procreate), which I deliberately transform and abstract during the painting process until a standalone work emerges with my personal visual language.
Exhibitions / Art Fairs (selection):
Casa del Arte, Palma (2022, 2023)
ART3F – International Contemporary Art Fair, Zürich (2023)
Affordable Art Fair, New York (2015, 2018)
Salon International d'Art Contemporain, Cannes (2018)
Artspace Warehouse, Los Angeles (2018–2020)
BEA, Bern (2021, 2022)
Art International Zürich (2015, 2016)
Kunstsupermarkt, Solothurn (2012–2024, multiple editions)
Art de Suisse, Lucerne (2024)

In the past 16 years I have sold around 1,800 works – from small formats to large-scale pieces (up to 6.5 × 2 m). My paintings are in private collections worldwide, including Zurich, Paris, New York, Singapore, Sydney, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and Lausanne.
