Knoll - Eero Saarinen - Dining table - Tulip table - Carrara marble

The Knoll Studio Saarinen Tulip dining table is a classic design by Eero Saarinen. In 1957 Saarinen created a fantastic series of tables and chairs, which would come to be known as the Tulip tables and chairs. What characterizes the furniture in this series is the pedestal, consisting of a single leg that tapers down to a rounded foot. Saarinen aimed to put an end to the tangle of table- and chair-legs. In this table series the foot is not only beautiful, but also very practical. This way, chairs and legs can move freely around and under the table.
