Luca Cartoonist, legally Luca Angelini, born in 1986, is an emerging artist in the world of pop art.
Always passionate about comics (Disney foremost), he graduates in advertising graphics from the Art Institute of Ascoli Piceno and then completes his artistic studies by earning a degree in comics and illustration from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
Drawing and painting will continue to be part of his life despite a different career path (though always artistic), until 2020, when, during the pandemic, he decides to fully enter the world of pop art.
He mainly portrays characters from the cartoon/comics world, adapting and placing them into current situations, often using pop icons from yesterday and today.
He primarily uses acrylic paints, spray cans, and mixed media techniques of printmaking and collage on canvas.
Since 2021 collaborations with several Italian galleries, he participates with his works in events such as ArtParmafair, BAF, and some group exhibitions (MilanoFashion & Art, Espressioni d'artista….)
