Description from the seller

Elena Prosdocimo (1996) – “Allegory of Abundance”, 2026

“Allegory of Abundance” is a photographic work by Elena Prosdocimo: a wish and a symbol that invites us to accept that we deserve the good that enters our lives.

This work originates from an investigation into the fear of not being enough, and the anxiety of having to constantly prove one’s worth instead of simply learning to accept one’s merits. We are more used to working through pain, failure, and rejection, almost forgetting that even “yes” can be just as frightening. Because, just as every great failure carries a weight, so do joy, fulfillment, and new responsibilities.
I wanted to represent Abundance standing proud, while at the same time retaining a sense of gentleness, to remind us that we can approach it without fear, opening ourselves to its presence.
This work therefore aims to be an invitation to accept that it is okay as it is: that we can welcome happiness, wealth, and abundance without guilt, without needing to justify them, but simply by recognizing that we deserve them.

Artwork details:

• Limited edition: 1/9

Photographic work, no AI.

The work is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Satin Fine Art paper, 100% cotton, with a satin finish. The print is subsequently mounted on an aluminum panel to ensure greater durability over time and to protect, as much as possible, the paper support from environmental factors.
The work is sold complete with its frame, custom-made and hand-finished with gold leaf by an Italian manufactory.
The work is protected by UltraVueUV70 glass, a high-quality anti-reflective glass that provides up to 70% UV protection. The glass, optically treated to be nearly invisible, ensures a reflection-free visual experience and effective long-term protection of the artwork.
Although the work was conceived to be sold with its frame, should the buyer prefer to receive it without the frame, they are kindly requested to inform the artist at the time of purchase.

Each piece is individually numbered and signed and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. The work is carefully packaged and shipped via tracked and insured express courier from Italy to destinations worldwide.

Artist statement:

I am Elena Prosdocimo, a visual artist and Italian photographer. My research always begins with personal themes, questions, and lived experiences that I transform into images, creating a personal mythology.
My great masters are the painters of the past, who deeply influence my aesthetics and lead me to use photography solely as a tool to approach an idea of digital painting, while still preserving the craftsmanship of the hand-made gesture.
