Description from the seller
The Technics RS-M22 (on the panel simply labeled Technics M22) is a classic stereo cassette deck produced from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. It is an excellent example of vintage hi-fi from the golden era of analog audio.
Main Features
Design and Aesthetics: It features the typical Technics design of that period, with an elegant brushed aluminum front panel, metal knobs, and a symmetric layout of controls.
Level Indicators (Fluorescent Meter): One of its aesthetic and functional strengths is the fluorescent bar display for monitoring peak levels, very responsive and bright, clearly visible in the image.
Mechanics and Heads: It is equipped with a robust transport system with the classic piano-key buttons. It includes Auto Rewind Play and Full Auto Stop. The head is marked HP Head (High-Mu Permalloy), known for its durability and faithful sound.
Tape Selectors (Bias / EQ): Offers manual separate adjustment for bias and equalization, allowing optimization of performance with Normal, CrO₂, and Fe-Cr tapes.
Noise Reduction: Integrates Dolby NR (Dolby B) to reduce the background hiss typical of magnetic tapes.
Front Connectivity: Includes a headphone output jack and two 6.3 mm input jacks for external microphones (left and right channels).
Being perfectly functional, this model is a vintage piece that is very pleasant both to listen to and to watch in action, thanks to the nostalgic charm of its luminous indicators and analog mechanics.
